Today is our 15 month anniversary for being Logged In To China for our little Mylie Camille. There are still no certain time lines for us to actually be getting our Referral.
Some would say 22 months since that is how long it took for the last group to receive theirs, but they are only referring small amounts of LID's for each month. The CCAA hasn't even gotten to December 06' yet!
I've been down at times because of the long wait. I fear that at this rate I will be nearly 50 by the time we get her and Wendy will nearing 8 years old. I can't stand the thought.
My gosh, Wendy was 2 when we started our paper work up for Mylie, and she will be turning 4 on November 3rd. Why? Why can't the CCAA kick it in and get these babies to their families?
I just hope and pray that by the time October 08' comes around that we will have our referral. I guess what I'm saying is that I hope they can speed things along and can somehow get 2 months worth of referrals out at once.
All I can do is just keep posting about things that are actually happening now with us and Wendy, and when it comes time for referral everyone will hear me shouting from the top of my lungs!

Three families in China.
Three families from our agency are in China!!! I just found out that the older child up for adoption at age 13 will soon meet her new Mom and Dad. I had been so concerned about this girl finding her forever family, and then I stumbled upon their blog when going to a families that is in our FCC here; they are also in China along with one of the families that is with our LID Month. The family from our FCC already has their daughter.
This is so exciting; so many new babies and children getting their forever parents.
I can't wait until it is our turn!!

Wendy's Traumatic Visit to the Doctor....
Actually, the doctors visit wasn't bad at all, because she is truly spoiled there. The nurse brings her a treat, and always gives more stickers to her. .
No, this is the story of how traumatic the Phlebotimists visit was actually!
My Poor little Angel~
I took Wendy to the Dr. and she told me that her ear was okay, her tummy seemed fine, and her chest was clear. She did say since she was sneezing and running a low grade fever it could be a virus. She did tell me that she thought that the stress of all that is going on could be the reason for the tummy ache, but with that said didn't have any advice. I've been doing Mylacon drops and that seems to relieve it some.
She had a blood test ran for lead from the toys that have been recalled. Wendy had two that were on the list; so I guess we will see how that went.
Okay, a three year old having blood work done...... She cried,screamed,told us to stop it, told the lady doing the draw she didn't like her and then out of no where she said she Hated her!! Wendy has NEVER said that to anyone! I had to lock down her legs with mine, her arms I had to grasp pretty hard. I hated the lady too at that point! Wendy kept screaming and crying and saying "You're hurting my FEELINGS"!! The door opened and we came out. She got a sucker, and a sticker. The ones in the waiting area had their eyes wide and mouths open. Only one lady said "poor baby, bless her heart".
I got her out and set out on a bench outside and let her cry it out. She was doing the sniffle thing, and said she was having hiccups. I smiled and said no baby when people cry that hard they get the sniffles.
We went to the book store and as she was looking at books and loading me down she told me that her feelings were feeling some better. It was so funny/cute.
Then she wanted to go to Babies R Us for a toy, of course I took her. I haven't seen her cry like that since she was first home with us, and the doctor ordered 7 shots at one time, and a blood test to tell how many shots she actually had had in China. She was just as upset, but only 13 1/2 months old. I do think this was a little more traumatic because she knew what was going to happen.
I did find her a London Fog coat at Babies R Us, and with a move to Amarillo she will need it. I haven't really thought about it much, but we all will need cold weather items. Our area is pretty mild in comparison to Amarillo. Lubbock gets really cold too. I am actually excited about getting some winter clothes now! Oh, and you ask....did she get a toy?? You BET!!
I couldn't pass the story up since I kept finding it cuter and cuter. She would stop and think at the Bookstore and come up and say "Mommy, my feelings are feeling a little better. Then she would read another book, and then say it again. By the time she had a stack of books chosen she told me that her feelings were much better now, but she still didn't like that lady!

Past Gifts from my Pal
I've been meaning to post the photos of my Secret Pal Gifts from my new Pal. There had been some switch ups due to some of the ladies were ready to end the swap, but then there were those of us that wanted to continue. Our coordinator assigned new pals to those whose pal opted out. My old Pal was going to pursue a Vietnam Adoption instead of enduring the long wait for China.
Just let me say that she was a wonderful and thoughtful pal and I wish her all the luck in the world.
My new Pal started of the swap with a mega package of Ladybug items! I've never seen a Ladybug Measure before; it is absolutely the cutest thing I've seen! Mylie has a new ladybug outfit to wear, and Wendy got the cutest ladybug umbrella.
For my 45th birthday my pal sent me a card and some scrapbook stickers with ladybugs and a set that has items from China.
My second package from her was an outfit for Mylie with a Lion on the front and two pairs of socks to go with it, a lion hooded towel to match, a ladybug hat, and for Wendy Popsicle molds, a colorful ladybug necklace, and a lavender ladybug wind up toy.
I can't wait to see what she comes up with next; for that matter I can't wait to know who she is!

I cebrated my 45 July 24th......
I am just now getting my photos on from my birthday. I ended up having a wonderful day. I was a little down about turning 45 since I was pretty sure I would have Mylie before I actually turned 45, but I ended up being 45 before she got here. I really hope and pray we get her before my 46th birthday.All in all I had a wonderful birthday just the same. Holly and Wendy took me to Six Flags early and we rode a few rides and then headed back around lunch time to meet Lacy at Rice and Noodle a new Thai place Mike found. After having a really nice lunch with all three of my daughters we went to the mall and I got my ears double pierced. Holly treated me to this. I have wanted to be able to wear two earrings for a while now. My new studs are Rubies since I had it done on my birthday. At home later we had nice dinner and Holly had made me a Ladybug Birthday Cake. It was so cute and very creative we almost hated to cut into it.
I got tons of cards from my new buddies which I have made through our Agency while waiting for Mylie. They are some really wonderful ladies and I'm proud to call them friends. Sherry, I love the card and I didn't want you to think I left you out purposely. I had already taken the photo of all of the stuff before I got it. It is very cute with a button for a ladybug on it. I want to thank all of them for making my day a bright one.
My "Secret Pal",Susan, is one of these ladies and she sent me some of my favorite wine "Ladybug Wine", and some of the prettiest earrings I've seen. As you can see in one of the photos above; Wendy and I are dancing to the card she sent it plays "I'm Walking on Sunshine". Just the way I felt that day.
My family gave me some wonderful gifts as well. I truly had a wonderful day.

I took this quiz and found that I belong in Rome. Funny how I would be given Rome as my answer; I have never been there in my life, but have had friends that have traveled there and just loved it. By listening and reading many of there stories I really do think I would love to be there. When I traveled to Europe about 7 years ago my favorite places were Austria, Switzerland (Lungern), and Germany (Fesson, Neutcheunstine(sp) Hiedelburg); very picturesque, clean, and surreal . I did enjoy London, but I could do without the City of Paris. I loved the French country sides though. What a trip I would do it all again if I could. Like I said maybe someday.......

July 26th 07' The Day We Left the Review Room!!
Well, all of my girlfriends have been after me to get my act together and post this already. I really meant to, but so much has been happening all at once.
My 45th birthday was on Tuesday the 24th, and then Mike went for an interview in Amarillo on Thursday. His flight got delayed and he didn't get home until midnight. I was up but not on the computer; so I missed out on some really BIG news. Patti tried to call me and let me in on it, but nooooo the phone was unpluged due to certain reasons. I found out the next morning by getting on my computer... I had 68 messages and counting. I thought to myself something big is happening... maybe we are out of Review. Well, I had guessed it!!!! It took 21 days (15 business days) from the day we entered Review from Pending Review to now enter the line for the Matching Room. It is a long line, but there is finally hope! We are so thrilled we don't know what to do. Finally, some hope that we may be able to travel by May 08' if not sooner. We are all hoping to get our Referrals by March 08'.
We all toasted at or around 7:00 pm to our being out of the Review Room, where we know that China had in their hands on all of our paper work and photos, and didn't reject us.This is so exciting that we have all been favored to be parents again for some of us and for the first time for many.
Congratulations to my China Adoption Sisters....we will be getting our daughters before we know it.
Lots of cool things going on within such a short time. For me to be feeling sorry for myself about turning 45, but with all of this action going on I haven't been even worried about it.
Today we are celebrating Mike's mother's birthday as well as mine, the fact of being out of the Review Room, that Lacy has passed a course, and that Mike has been offered a new job. Lots going on in the Lambert household this summer.
So even though this may say July 28th 07' it is really about the 26th.....the day we left the Review Room!!!!
