Fun and Adventure.....
Lacy and I had a lot of fun keeping Wendy busy for a few days while Mike was on business of his own. We took her to the Ft. Worth Zoo and got to see their new Penguin exhibit. It is really nice. They are also adding the new reptile house and have been working on it since we have moved. Progress takes time at a Zoo I guess. The Zoo in general hasn't changed, but Wendy and I have missed it very much.
For lunch we went to Panera Bread and boy did we have fun doing this. We have good places to eat but we have missed this just the same. Funny it had undergone some renovation changes as well, but for the best since they had needed more seating.
Mike Wendy and I had gone to Macaroni Grill the evening before and were upset that they had renovated it also, but to add more seating took away the ambiance. That was sad to see.
We also hit our favorite Thai Place "Bangkok Thai House". We were greeted by the owners there. Wendy knows her as Grandma; so we all call her grandma. It was so nice seeing them once again. She remembered every dish we truly loved of hers.
We had a wonderful visit with my parents and were able to see Mike's mother before we left.

This day Lacy and I took Wendy to the American Girl Doll Store in Dallas. We had lunch there and treated her to a few treats from the Bitty Twin Collection. Wendy really was in awe of this store, and hopes to have her Birthday there someday. I say I will need a few years to save up for that. HA
Since we don't have one here we would have to go there which would mean road trip for some of her friends. Not sure how many of the little girls she could get to come at that rate.

Wendy was totally pooped!!

This is Wendy with her cousin Brooke. Aren't they cute! Can you believe that Wendy is 5 and Brooke is 3 years old?! Isn't that something?

The Lovey Award has been bestowed on me

This award has been bestowed on me by my new and true blog friend M from Faith, Hope,& Love. I've never met her in person, but yet I share with her one thing and that is that somehow one day we will both hold our sweet little girls who we have been waiting for so long. (M, thank you so much for this award. It means so much coming from you. I know one day we will be sharing stories and photos of our new little ones.)
The Rules: "These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find friends and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships will be propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly- written text into the body of their award."
Now with out any further a due these are my 8 choices...)
First of all I choose my sweet and dear friend that is more like a true sister to me, Leigh from As Up She Grows. Also known as My Katey on my sidebar. Leigh and I have something very close in common; we have our daughters who are from the same SWI and who shared the same exact Nanny! Pretty cool huh? She has been with me through all of this stuff for Mylie, and often pulls me back in line and tries so hard to make me understand that Mylie must not be ready for us still. (Leigh, I love you my friend! Without our connection of adoption we might have never met, and let me tell you I would be so lost without your friendship).
Second, my sweet China Sister Susan from The Miracle of Maiya. Susan and I found each other from being with the same agency and the same LID date. She has her little angel now and I am so happy she has her to hold and love for ever more. We have so many things in common and I have been so lucky to have her as my China Sister, friend and Pal! (Susan thank you for being there for me and my family. I'm so lucky to have your friendship. You are one of the many sweetest people I've been fortunate to be connected with. You will always be a dear friend.)
Third, is my funny, super bargain shopper, and little mother, Sherry from Spring Babies. Sherry is waiting some final steps to bring her new daughter home. We have two things in common that has brought us together as forever friends and China Sisters; we both are part of the same agency and we both have the same LID. The wait has been so hard on us, but we will come through this alright since we both know that God has one thing in mind for us~a daughter chosen just for us. Sherry is one of the lucky ones though her little angel is now waiting for her. (Sherry, I love you girl! You have been such a strength in my corner, and am so grateful that we have been connected in this way.)
Fourth, Lynn over at The Story Of Us. Lynn and I have become friends due to the same exact thing as the ones above; adoption, agency and same LID group. Lynn has just brought her little boy home from China, and he is just adorable. (Lynn, thank you so much for being there as a friend and sister. I'm so happy that we have met and will continue to be friends.)
Fifth, is Deborah from Three Sweetpeas in a Pod. Deborah is a mommy of three and just adores her little crew. You must go over and take a look at her beautiful daughters. (Deborah, I would really love to meet you in person one day. You are such a sweet person.)
Sixth, is Debbi at Winding Vines. Debbi is very funny person. I love going over to her blog and catching up on the antics that are going on with their daughter Sarah. Debbi is a true inspiration and wonderful mom! ( Debbi, thank you for allowing me to follow along and be a part of Sarah's life. It is fun watching her discover new things.)
Seventh, is Vivian at Life with Kerri.
Vivian has become a bloggy friend of mine. I love her antics with her daughter Kerri. (Vivian, I'm so happy I've met you through a mutual friends blog.)
Eighth, is Sandy over at Pokonutz. Sandy and her husband have the biggest hearts I've known. They truly love all Children. You must go over and see why... hers is the story of love and much courage.) ( Sandy, you are a true inspiration.)

This sounds like fun!
My blogger buddy, and China Sister Lynn, has this on her blog and I thought it sounded like so much fun. So this is how it works..... The first 3 people to leave a comment on this will receive a gift from me during this year. When and what will be a surprise. There's a small catch...You knew there would be didn't you? Post this on your blog then come back and leave a comment, telling me you're in. Fun, huh? Remember, only the first 3 comments receive the gift.

A couple of things...
#1: Kristy from Franceska's Journey Home, asked which one was Holly. Holly is in the Lady and the Tramp video and the others as well. Short, cute, and wears glasses.
#2: I guess everyone has noticed my wallpaper is solid Pink again. Not my choice!! I am not sure what is up with that. I need to work on it again. I'm beginning to hate blogger due to the fact this makes twice I've had this happen with my wallpaper. Luckily I have the bird one on my photo file so I can work on getting it back on.
Any ideas on how to reload and keep it on!!??
Hope everyone's weekend is a good one.
