One Step Closer!!!!

We got our LSC today!!!! It took only 13 days from our PA to get our LSC! I think this is some kind of record? It took such a short time to get it! I've been told it could be 6-12 weeks to get the LSC. Now you ask what is the LSC? Well it stands for Letter Seeking Conformation...this means that this is our "Official" referral!! Evan is ours!!! Now to wait for Travel Approval "TA". Our agency seems to think we will get to travel the first week of November. October is out, because of the Fall Festival they have. I can't remember exactly what they call it, but everything shuts down for this event. September families already have their travel info. so we won't be able to travel then.

Okay, let me share some things about him. He is a 2 1/2 year old doll named Rao Su Xin soon to be Evan Michael Suxin !!! His birthday is September 27th, 2006. He is from Xinzhou, Shangrao SWI, Jiangxi of Jiangxi Province. He is in Foster Care; so he may have a hard time leaving them. He is not far from Shanghai. So, we are hoping to travel to Shanghai this time instead of Beijing.

His birthday month is one month from Holly's exactly, one red thread.
He looks like Wendy,second red thread! I found him the day after my birthday on a shared list, third red thread. I had gotten my Ladybbug tattoo the day before I found him, fourth red thread.
The day after we locked his file Mike came home and told me that it just dawned on him that Evan's birthday landed on the anniversary of his daddy's death, FIFTH red thread!! This little man has lots of connections to us! It must be Gods way of saying he is ours.


He is a Special Needs baby. He was born with heart issues, but has been surgically repaired. The Doctors in Shanghai have said he won't need further surgeries. We are thrilled about this news. We will still be having him seen by a Heart Specialist here. The most fantastic news is that he is being cared for by a group called Love Without Boundaries. They raise funds to get help for all of the babies they care for to help with their surgeries. It is ran by people from the states with the help and care of nannies from China. They have lots of wonderful photos of him and have passed them to us and have kept up with all of his information so we know more about him than we did about Wendy. I will be adding their link to my sidebar soon. It is a wonderful cause to donate to because so many babies benefit from these funds.

Okay, here are 3 NEW UPDATED PHOTOS!!!!! Just a little while ago! One is of him and his little friend there in the SWI, the second is of him looking for cookies in someones handbag.lol The third is of him and his Nanny. Mike noticed that they have painted his toes and fingers pink,red, and maybe lavender. LOL

Old Faithful Isn't As Reliable

We ate at the Old Faithful Lodge before seeing the Geyser go off. The food was good, but the inside of the place was very impressive.









Old Faithful took 90 minutes to go off! They said it use to go off every 60 minutes, but has been taking longer these days. It didn't seem to go off as high as I would have thought either. There were smaller Geysers going off and from a longer distance away from us we could see them really well. Perhaps one day they will be the "New" Old Faithful.

An end to a perfect summer...

We just got back from Wyoming on Friday and had the best time with our car trip. We haven't taken a car trip in years and Wendy has never been on one like this. The longest she has been in a car has been 6 hours to visit grandparents and her older sister, but this was a two day trip to get there. We decided to take off and go to Yellowstone National Park. Old Faithful wasn't faithful to being on time! It was 15 minutes late and didn't go off as high as it use to from what we could tell.
The one thing we enjoyed the most was hiking and seeing animals there. There was a lot of road work so to trek back to the Grand Tetons was impossible. If and when we go back we will just do the Grand Tetons so we can see thing we didn't get to on this trip.

As far as animals go we saw Bison on the first day in. One came right out of the trees in front of our car. I had to come to a quick stop so he could cross. He was hobbling so he had been hit sometime before; poor thing. He met up with his friend on the other side that decided he had to roll in the dirt at that moment. That was one of the highlights of the trip. Mike and I took a walk from our cabin one evening while the girls played with Lincoln logs in our room. While down by the Snake River Mike cast a few times hoping to catch a trout. Unfortunately they were feeding way on the other side of the river. I had strolled do to this sandy area where the river rocks had cleared...there were all kinds of tracks and scat (poop). You won't believe what tracks I found!! First of all I found Moose tracks, and some kind of small sandpiper type bird tracks, and then wolf along with it's scat. The biggest tracks I found were BEAR!!! We kept our eyes peeled believe me!

The next morning Mike decided he wanted to go back to the river to fish again, this was around 6:30 am and he waded out to the middle of the river where we had seen them feeding the night before. I got to worrying some since it was nearly 8:00 am and we had plans to go down to some water falls 23 miles away. Finally he came to the door and I opened it and in his hands he had the most beautiful brown trout I've ever seen. It was 22 inches long and around 4 lbs. It was a nice fish! He told me he had also caught a small cut throat trout that was pretty, but not as much as this one.

You know that when you are in the mountains the elevation can get to you if you try to walk too fast up steep inclines...so we took it slow and easy and still found our selves having trouble. Not to mention when something is 23 miles away you think oh, that isn't all that far. ha With winding roads and a slow speed limit due to animals it took quite a while to get places. I went slow because I know we would see more animals, and we did! More Bison, Elk, Mule Deer, and on our way home I saw the back end of a Black Bear. No one but Mike believes me. We stopped and ran to see if we could get a photo of it, but he had moved on into the trees. I don't have proof. ha

We really liked Cody, Wyoming from what we could see of the town while driving through. Like an old west town.

We stayed the night in Casper on the way back home and picked up a souvenir for Holly there, she bought herself a Canadian Ferret and named him Huckleberry. We were told that they get big and he is 4 months now and as big as our big boy Bear is now. Bear is full grown for his breed and won't get any bigger, but the guy told us that he had a Canadian Ferret that got to be 22 lbs.!! I don't think Huckleberry will get that big but will maybe reach 9 lbs. and that is big! He is named after the fruit there in Yellowstone. I'll see if I can get a photo of the stinker if he can slow down enough to do so.

Update...

We received an update on our progress this morning!!! We have our PA(pre approval)!! This means that his file has been moved over for adoption and we are one step closer. Come on LSC(Letter Seeking Confirmation)which is our last step before Travel!!

It is with Great Joy that we announce that we have a......... SON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He is 2 1/2 years old! Our LOI was sent off just today, and now we wait for PA (Pre- Approval)!!

I will tell you it is very hard to believe that we have a son. A BOY!!!!!! We have a few names we are playing with, but no one in the family can agree on one and settle with it. Don't mention Miles.... It has been nixed by all of the family, but I can say I liked it. This is a first for us. We always have had names for either or back when our Bio daughters were being expected. Wendy was always going to be a girl and only took 6 months from LID, but since we have waited so long this round we have had the name Mylie Camille and nothing else. I will need to put a poll up on names. lol

As many of you know Mike never would consider a boy! He was all about the girls. This little one popped up on the list the day after my birthday and we had to wait the whole weekend until our agency open up on Monday. Mike said this is the first boy he would ever go with and really kept wanting me to show him his photos. He stole daddy's heart! I had an email in, but didn't actually get in touch until Tuesday. We said if he hadn't been snapped up by that time he was meant to be ours.

Wendy has had a hard time with this wait. She has wanted a sister so badly and then to spring a brother on her was something, but not turned down. She did want us to know that she was worried about being dethroned. We told her with a baby brother she would always be the baby girl and not to mention be able to still be a big sister. She is so excited about this now, and is ready to pack her bags!!

I can't add photos of him now or until we get word from China. So everyone will have to stay tuned for that to happen.

I will tell you a few things though.... He is absolutely adorable and is loved by all of his nannies there. We are prepared for a spoiled little one....ha As if Wendy isn't totally spoiled rotten!!!!!!!!!!! LOL He has the best smile and the sweetest little lips ever. I hear he gives sweet kisses, can't wait to get my first from him. We think that he looks like Wendy, and we all know how precious she is.

I can't wait to travel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG I still can't believe it! I still have to pinch myself.

Now we need to do something with all of the baby girl items that I can part with, and save the rest for Holly or Lacy in the future. I have nothing really for a boy! Got to have fun looking and shopping, and registering.

Anyway, we wanted to share our news with everyone.
