One of my precious friends and China Sisters, Sherry, suggested that we take the evening off from a stressful week and just lay back and watch Wendy smile and giggle.
Well, we decided to finish up the tree and lay around in our living room (aka: Nostalgia Room since this is where we have many of our favorite antique's).
I captured some special moments of Mike and Wendy reading a new Ted and Fred book, their favorite. Then things got goofy.... in came our Chihuahua Luther and we got some fun shots of him with me and Wendy as well. He thinks he is human and very special. Our other fuzzy family members stayed at the kitchen door watching him get away with murder. ha
Thank you Sherry for suggesting this.... It took our minds off of the week.

It's so much fun getting the house ready, isn't it? We did our tree on Tuesday....love it! Have a great weekend!! :)
Looks like you guys have been busy! Your tree is beautiful.
Hard to believe it has been 4 years.
Sorry to have missed you at Disney. The girls are still mad that we didn't make it to Disney. You can't believe what happened in a 2 week period! Thankfully we settled back into our dull ordinary life.
Thanks for sharing Lesa. What a great suggestion from a wonderful friend. Your tree looks beautiful, is it real? I'm sure we would all love to see a full picture of it with Wendy in there too?! We decided we needed to get in the holiday spirit and when out and bought us a cute little "real" tree for downstairs.
PS...I forgot to say I just LOVE those old time Santa's behind you. It seems like I recall seeing them at an Aunt/Uncles house growing up. I wish they had left them to me. Great memories.
Sue, if you check back we sure missed you as well. You never said what part she had in the Nutcracker. I better get a photo of her in it some how. ha
Michele, no it is a pre-lit tree. I found it at Target and loved it because it looked so real.
The Santa's are so much fun. I have a total of 16 Santa Dolls and 5 Santa faced purses and one Santa Stocking that we have found either through Antiquing or ebay. I just love my collection. Mike always tries to surprise me with at least one each Christmas if not a surprise 2.
You have a wise friend!!! :o) Your nostalgia room looks beautiful!
(It was the St. Louis Zoo....a definite keeper! We love whenever we get a chance to visit it!)
:)
i love those happy faces in those pictures and I could eat that puppy up with a spoon!!! He or she is just the cutest little thing!!
Love, Kristy
I can so relate, our pooch thinks he is human too and is definately in the midst of whatever we are doing every moment of the day. He is currently snuggled up to hubby sleeping.
Love the tree, what a wonderful idea to spend quality family time in that beautiful room!
