Let It Snow!!!

Well, Friday the forecast finally came true! When they said "Blizzard" they meant it by golly.

Friday we woke up and there was snow on the ground, and much more than we have had here all winter. It continued all day. The first video I took it was just getting started. Then Mike got home and we went out and had a snow ball fight; plus walked around in it to see just how deep it got.

My parents took us on vacation to New Mexico when I was Wendy's age and the snow was pretty deep. It went up to my waist and here it went to Wendy's bottom in some of the drifts, and up to her knee in the lower areas.

We think it was an average of 18" here.

Holly, Wendy and I had an adventure yesterday. The girls wanted to see the new animated Disney movie, and when we got to the theater the snow was up pretty high in the parking lot. Not to mention white outs I encountered while driving. Next time there will be NO getting out no matter what the kids want!!!! After all of that the theater manager decided to not open for the day. All of his employees were there, but they kept the doors closed until he made a final decision. So, we headed home stopped by Hastings for a few rentals to satisfy Holly and Wendy and then to the grocery store next door to get some soup fixings.

I was so glad to get back home.

It has about melted off now. Funny how quick that happened.

Enjoy the photos.

Lesa,
I was wonderfing how you faired in the big Texas Blizzard. Too crazy! It's almost April! No snow here, just very cold. Stay warm my friend!

If that's spring in TX I'm glad I live in the north! lol :o)

We're being threatened with snow on Monday....I sure hope it's just threats, as I am so ready for some warmer weather that will stop teasing us and just stay!

WOW! It hardly seems real, yet I got a chill watching it.....as I sit here in my tank top and shorts! It's raining here but in the 70's. I guess it would be fun weather once in a while......don't plan on moving to FARGO any time soon......especially not SOON! Off to see Monsters vs Aliens in a little while.....it had better be slightly enjoyable!!! Stay warm!

You guys are so funny down there about the snow. :) You should try a winter in Michigan once. We have to get more the 20 inches before the stores close here.

Glad you guys got to enjoy it.

Hey Lesa,

It's so nice to hear from you!! I cannot believe how big Wendy is. She is absolutley beautiful!

We are just now getting into a groove of having Audie home. He is so laid back and easy going, it is almost unreal. He did great in China and is doing great here. He is a cleft baby too. His repair is excellent and his speech is great too. With Anna, she goes to ST once a week and we practice it at home every night for 10 minutes. She is making some big progress. Audie I think will get there faster as his speech is pretty good without any therapy yet.

Please keep in touch with your adoption. I cannot believe it has taken so long. I did visit both of the kids SWI's and for those two, they really are 95% or more SN kids. A lot of heart and cleft babies. If you have any more questions, let me know.

We also had a touch of the blizzard in Wichita, KS. Unreal, nothing like in Texas for sure!! :)
